2007 CAMP OUT - WEST END FARM - WEEK END 8/9/10TH JUNE
Before any organised event a survey should be made of the site
Our regular site was reserved for us again this year at South Reston
Some of the happy campers
'Mission Control'  Chairman Steve M5ZZZ
& Roger M1CDQ who were operating a Yeasu 847
& 857 into long wire and 2M portable beam
'Shady Corner'  John M3ERG & Terry G0SWS

"Hot RF Annex" -  Mark 2E0NCG & Paul M0XDX worked well using a Yaesu 854 into a homebrew 20/17M  Rotary Dipole, 6M Dipole & 40M Dipole

Next door to "Hot RF Annex" was "CW Haven"  with Nevil G3VDV using very low power  equipment described below. Note the very trendy van/tent conversion. (Some rude person was heard to say it simply looked like a loo tent)
Alan M0JRA had traveled all the way from Rotherham to be with us again this year. Always a welcome guest, Alan was using a FT100D & TS 430 into his trusty inverted L.

Above in the 'Family Suite' was:
Debbie M3DRP, Richard M0RJP & daughter Gemma. Richard was using his FT 817 QRP into a 20M Dipole
Paul Brockley and his XYL Caroline also joined us from Rampton via The Haven Caravan Site this year. Picture shows Paul resting outside the awning of Steve's M5ZZZ caravan
Enjoying a brief spell of sunshine.
XYL's Sarah & Jackie
The Group Station M0ERG/P with operators Richard M0RJP & Mark 2E0NCG. Paul M0XDX supervises operations.  Conditions were regarded as poor this year.
Early morning flying lessons?  No, just Colin G3NRQ showing which way the beam should be facing!  Terry G0SWS is not so sure!
Truly amazing a 1 watt cw radio in a tissue box.
This kit put together by Nevil G3VDV and performs very well.

Another version of the QRP kit. This time installed in a gadget box. This set was built by Malcolm G3ZUI
A view of both sets giving some idea of size.
